Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea

Ponyo (崖の上のポニョ, Gake no Ue no Ponyo?, literally "Ponyo on the Cliff") is a 2008 Japanese animated film by Studio Ghibli, written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It is Miyazaki's eighth film for Ghibli, and his tenth overall. The plot centers on a goldfish named Ponyo who befriends a five-year-old human boy Sōsuke and wants to become a human girl.

The film has won several awards, including the Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year.[3] It was released in Japan on July 19, 2008 and August 14, 2009 in the US and Canada,[4] where it reached #9 in the box office charts for its opening weekend.[5]

I thought it was adorable!

Christmas Movie List

Just got home from watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett.
Lia came over and picked me up and we met Zach, his mother and his cousin at the movie theater at Philips Place.

The story line was genius.
The love story between Benjamin and was so sad.

Cate Blanchett looked beautiful as a redhead

and Brad Pitt was hot

and they both did an amazing job.

Earlier in the day Steven, Sophia and I watched The Darjeeling Limited.

After they left I watched Sukiyaki Western Django.

The two main characters in it were actually really cute.

Bad Guy

Good Guy

Man I have watched so many movies since the last time I did a major post, but I can't remember them all now.

The other day during our break at Gap I put in Beetle Juice and watched about 1/3 of it.
I have been looking for that movie forever.
Speaking of movies I am going to look for Cry Baby for Soup (for his going away) before I forget.

I LOVE FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS!

Tuesday, October 21, 2008

Last night Jenny, Soup and I saw Wall-E at the $1.50 movies.

It is such a good movie. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

The other night while Soup was in Colombia I stayed in and watched Eagle vs. Shark

It was really good, reminded me a lot of Napoleon Dynamite.

I made Jenny watch it a few days later and she liked it as well.

Well, my movie and music blog was temporarily suspended because they suspected I was posting porn or something.

Oh well...

Last Saturday Jenny, Soup, Jessica, Josiah and I went to the Ballantyne Village Theatre and saw Friday the 13th part III in 3D.

I forget some of the movies we watched while my blog was on lock down, but tonight we watched Mandy Moore in Saved.

Soup has been slowly moving his stuff out of his house and either into his storage unit in South Charlotte or into my place.
Today he moved his record player over and some of his records.
We listened to:

Joanna Newsom - Milk-eyed Tender

Postal Service - Give UP

Beirut

Elliot Smith - From a Basement on the hill

Neutral Milk Hotel - On Avery Island

John Lennon - Imagine

Cat Power
